Description

Dried animal hide makeup container wrapped with strips of fur, most of which are black and two strips that are dyed light orange-brown. There are pale green leather strips between the fur strips. The body (2011.0227.a), or pot, is shaped somewhat like a cone with a bulbous end and with a long, unwrapped portion extending from the top. The lid (2011.0227.b), which is entirely wrapped in fur and leather, is a tube that is closed on one side and fits onto the unwrapped section of the body.
