Description

Rattle made from a dried gourd. At the top of the rattle just under the stem there is a hole drilled through and a light brown wide string is pulled through and tied at the top. The exterior of the gourd is stained a reddish purple color and decorated with incised patterns. At the top near the stem there are thin horizontal lines above and below a band of vertical columns of zigzag lines. At the shoulder of the gourd there is a row of connected half circles. On the widest part there is a wide band of triangular panels of alternating panels of half circles and incised zigzags. At the bottom there is a row of abstract designs made from oblong half circles and ovals.
