Description

Bowl made from a dried gourd and decorated on the outside with incising and staining or paint. The interior of the bowl is undecorated but has visible lines from the gourd. On the outside at the rim there is a thin band of diagonal lines above a wide solid band of dark brown paint or stain. At the bottom of the bowl there is a thick x shape with lengthwise incised lines. That x is joined by long thin lines to V shapes that join into the dark band at the rim. The x and v shapes are natural orange-brown in color and the field is dark brown stain or pigment.
