Description

Decorative plate or shallow bowl made from a dried gourd. The plate is slightly convex and the convex side is carved in low relief and painted. The convex side of the bowl is carved in low relief with a series of characters, identified as Arabic. They are painted in blue, white, black, and yellow and there is a pink rim around the edge. The Arabic calligraphy reads "Allah" and "Muhammad."
