A ceramic sculpture in the shape of a basketball and covered in encaustic. The outlines of the basketball are visible, as well as the logo "Wilson" on the sides. The color is light yellow and the surface is decorated with lines made up of small circles pressed into the surface, then rubbed with dark green pigment. At the top of the ball there is a large bird, identified as an eagle, with widespread wings and its head turned in profile, and with vertical stripes on the body. The shape of the bird is filled in with small circular shapes and there is both dark green pigment and yellow pigment. On the sides of the ball, there are five cross shapes that have arms that flare out at the ends. Inside the crosses there are lines of circles and small rectangular shapes at the ends. Below the crosses there is a wide band of columns made from small circles joined with thin lines. At the bottom of the ball there is another band of U-shapes that are joined together to create a scale-like pattern.
