This is one of a set of five "Mercury" dimes, made convex, with the image of a figure, identified as Liberty, wearing a winged cap. There are loops attached to the back for use as buttons. The dates on dimes are, 1922, 1935, 1935, 1943, and 1944.
It was intended to be sewn onto garments for people or horses.
