Description
Inscriptions/Signature

A thin, bespectacled man with a white mustache wearing a powder blue military uniform and cap holds a map and looks over a barricade of sandbags. Behind him, a red-haired woman in a long dress holds a young girl and a dense city is visible in the background. The man, identified as Joseph Simon Gallieni, served as the French Minister of War beginning on October 29, 1915.
