Description

Occupying the lower third of the image is an empty beach. Its slick surface reflects the sky overhead and a natural rock formation [identified as Arch Rock, Santa Cruz, California] to the left. Through this archway a rocky outcropping, its surface marked by striations, extends further into the sea about a third of the way from the image’s right edge. Smaller rocky outcroppings emerge from the waves.
