The landscape is arranged diagonally into two parts. On the bottom left corner is a cliff, upon which several trees grow. On the upper right a towering mountain creates a strong diagonal composition. Our view of the mountain is obscured at its center by a ribbon of clouds. A river winding between the cliff and mountain carries a small boat. In the distance, light ink washes delineate mountains. The landscape is rendered in blues and greens.
