Description

The painting depicts a plum tree rising from the left corner. The trunk was outlined in broad ink washes, executed in a forceful manner that evokes the gnarled quality of the tree. The tree, while rendered in light tones, is punctuated by moss denoted in a moist dark ink. Several twigs shoot upward towards the sky and overlap with one another.
