Pelican, Cormorant, and silhouettes of flying swallow-like birds at BL corner and top half of image. The LR quadrant of the work is occupied by a seated figure wearing fringed leggings and a roach-type headdress, holding a studded rifle or mace (This figure is derived from an 1834 watercolor of the Osage Chief Glahmo, also known as Clermont, by George Catlin, now in the collection of the Missouri History Museum). To the left of the figure is a linear, lunchbox form. The collage-like components of the image are superimposed over a muted yellow road map.
