Metal plate with an enamel coating. The outer rim is red and the inside of the center has a green field. In the center is a knot design in red, yellow and white that consists of a diamond shape with two interlocking ovals on top. This design is identified as the "knot of the North," a Hausa symbol. The bottom of the plate is plain white.
