Fan is made of plant fibers woven in a geometric diamond pattern, in a rectangular shape. These fibers are a natural light brown color as well as dyed blue-green and purple. The handle is wrapped in red leather and the fan is edged with green leather secured with strips of red leather. there are three strips of red leather that extend horixontally fromt eh handle across the face of the fan. The uppermost surface of this leather was incised and then portions were peeled away, leaving striped and diamond patterns.
