Fan is made of plant fibers woven in linear and geometric patterns in a rectangular shape. These fibers are natural light and medium brown leather. There is a fringe of yarn along all four edges of the fan in varying colors of red, green, black, orange and blue. There is also a "pom" of this colored yarn in the center of the front of the fan. The letters NPN, which stand for a political party (the National Party of Nigeria), are stitched in the front of the fan with blue and red yarn.
