Arabic script in black vegetable ink on light brown wood. One line of the fatiha (the first chapterof the Qur'an) is written on one side. Remnants of previous writing that had been washed away are still visible. The board is rectangular with a strong concave shape to the base, and a protrusion at the top which is shaped like a rounded arrow. The board is not flat but has a convex rounding on both sides.
