Inscriptions/Signature

Horizontal, interior scene of busy kitchen with trompe l'oeil frame frame and bar of text along bottom edge. In the foreground, a table covered by a crisply ironed white sheet is laden with large platters of cakes or jellies. Sides of meat and rabbits hang above. At right, two females, one carrying a chld, oversee the kitchen activity. Behind the table at left, two men roll and shape pastries. In the center, a man places cakes into a fiery oven.
