The skin-like resin torso, head and arms were life cast from the artist’s body and tinted black. This half-figure is attached to a bell-shaped fiberglass form that supports the sculpture and gives volume to cascades of royal purple cotton overlaid with bright blue tulle. The dress has puffed sleeves and a rigid ruff, which are trimmed in white cotton and the figure wears a white cotton apron tied with a large bow and a white cotton headscarf. The figure’s arms are detachable and extend out from the body, with the palms of the hands facing back.
