Description

Round, porcelain platter with blue/red/brown overglaze and ome gilt. The border pattern consists of acanthus leaf scrolls which enclose large, red poppies and small blue flowers. A fish roe design fills all of the border and forms a background for the flowers. In the center is a design of flowers, twigs, a small vase and book. The under side of the rim has dark red outlines of four flowers.
