Image begins with grove of trees, progresses from right to left, landscape with figures of displaced persons with belongings in bundles, baskets, and carts. Occasionally interspersed are a few bizarre creatures, such as fish-headed man and warthog-like creature walking on hind legs. Image uses gestural outline with loose color fill, colors are muted and mainly blues, browns, and reds. Image ends with five policemen in a boat in the river. Scroll ends with lengthy colophon.
