The flask (Bianhu) is standing on a splayed foot, decorated in high relief on both sides with a figure of a long-tailed monkey. The monkey is holding a wine ewer in one hand, and a stemcup in the other. The frame that encases the monkey is decorated with impressed medallions, whorls and rings. Geometric patterns are stamped around the monkey at the center.
