Studio portrait of man identified as Rain-in-the-Face, a warrior from the Red Cloud Wars. The figure is seated with this back to the viewer. His head and abdomen are turned to proper left, creating a profile of his face. His long headdress falls on this (nearer) side of a stone architectural structure, upon which he sits. He holds a long, ornamented stick in his left hand.
The negative has white lines draw around the borders.
