Description

This cylindrical wooden flute has slightly tapered ends. There are nickel silver bands at either end, each of which are stamped with a band of tick marks at either side. There are six fingerholes. It is very dark brown.

This flute may have been played in the US Civil War by Pvt. Almeron W. Stillwell of the 5th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment.
