This is a length of bamboo with a second, shorter length joined at one end, forming a tight "J" shape. They are held in place with a red plastic thread. The surface is red with incised designs to show the natural color below. The designs include a rectangular border with red triangles, a trapezoid with a human-like face and two llama heads on top, a bird in flight over mountains, a standing figure wearing a hat and playing a wind instrument, a dog, and two crossed branches with an unidentified object at the ends.

The short length has one hole for blowing, the long length has five holes in a row and two more holes on either side at the end.
