The backdrop for a puppet theater was created from three panels of canvas. All three rectangular panels are sewn together in one seam on the short side. One panel is nailed to a wooden bar, and another wooden bar is inserted through a sleeve in the free end of the other panel. There is a string with a bone "O" ring at one end and a metal "O" ring at the other end is is threaded through one panel, which is the moveable panel, when the backdrop is hung, allowing the scene to change.

Scene one is painted to show a curtain tied with tassels. The "curtain" is vertical stripes of silver, yellow, pink, black and blue with yellow and pink tassels (with highlights and shadow).

Scene two is a tree with a small bit of blue background showing through. The tree has a brown trunk and green leaves with yellow highlights.
