Description

This cylindrical wooden flute has a slit at one end and a whistle hole on the back. It is painted blue with incised designs revealing light colored wood. The front is defined as a rectangular field. It has star shapes at the top with a diagonal band of vertical parallel lines. It has a diamond and two "x's." There is a medallion of five circles and four clusters of three lines followed by a diamond and two "x's." Then there are star shapes with a diagonal band of vertical parallel lines. It has six fingerholes and a large "X" with chevrons in the negative space after fingerhole three and six.
