Description
Inscriptions/Signature

The translucent yellow plastic bottle (2007.4844.a) has a light yellow strap and a white screw-on lid (2007.4844.b).

The gourd-shaped bottle has a globular body, a tall neck with an expansion near the body and a narrow opening. The strap is attached at the top of the neck and at the expansion of the neck with metal rivets. There are two raised bands of woven-looking decoration at the top and bottom of the body.

These jugs are used more and more instead of ceramic jars. They are very convenient but they do not keep water as cool as clay jars.
