The metal bit has two side pieces with a round loop at the front and both are turned down at the back. These pieces are joined by a metal bar about 1/3 the distance from the front, with a notch in the center, and there is a slack chain from one loop to the other. The short length of chain at the back forms a loop on each end.

The side pieces are decorated with a wavy line with clusters of dots in the negative space.

It was used to guide a donkey pulling a cart. It was not used otherwise.
