The press is made with a square wooden base and square upper piece hinged together on one side. Opposite the hinges, the bottom piece has a small projection for a wooden handle, it is square in cross section and is secured on a metal "u" shape, allowing it to fold over and press the top piece flat.

It is a light natural colored wood and is otherwise undecorated.
