The round ceramic plaque has broken and uneven edges. It is incised with an eight petal flower with a large center, a stem and two leaves. The text above reads "OAXACA"

The clay is set on a flat piece of broken pottery which is set on the rounded side of another pot and turned on it with one hand while the other shapes the new piece of pottery. This one was used by potter Irene Paz.
