Description

A miniature float consisting of a small rectangular box on a raised platform of small wooden beams that are painted black with gold tips. The legs have a skirt of tan cloth and the sides of the box are covered in red cloth with a gold band at the top below another band of black, gold, and white fabric. The red panel has rectangular inserts of off-white fabric with a large floral print in gold, red, and blue. There are small white tassels at each corner and the top surface is red. On top of the float there is a male figure that has a green and brown robe over dark blue pants and a flat, light brown hat. He is standing under a red umbrella and stands in front of a green fir tree in a red base.

This object is similar to a float used in the Gion Festival.
