Description
Inscriptions/Signature

This cylindrical wooden flute has a semicircular hole in one end and a rectangular whistle hole. There are six fingerholes. Most of the flute, except the mouthpiece end, is stained brown with wavy lines. The incised designs reveal the light colored wood underneath. Three bands of flower-like designs go all the way around (roughly at the ends and middle), and the remaining design is all on the front. There are diagonal bands of diamonds, checkerboards, and zigzags that are interspersed with flower-like and leaf-like designs.
