A rectangular black box with a divided and hinged lid. The lid is decorated with a scene in gold paint: a small boat on the water with hills on either side and three clusters of trees with three birds above them. The metal hinges on either end of the box allows it to open from the middle where a dark yellow tassel attaches to each door at a silver flower shaped escutcheon. The inside of the box is divided into two compartments each lined in faded red velvet.
