The oval box (2007.2462.a) has one slat of wood wrapped around a separate piece for a bottom. The ends of the side are sewn together with plant fiber and attached to the bottom with wooden pegs. The portion visible under the lid is decorated with vertical stripes of lighter circles with arches between them. The lid (2007.2462.b) was constructed in the same way. The top has a cross design in darker color over the top of an incised "X" which is the intersection of two diamonds. This is surrounded by clusters of four darker circles. The edge is decorated with clusters of four circles.
