The painting is of a young girl from the waist up. She is slightly turned to the proper left. Her black hair is in two braids, each decorated with a blue beaded medallion with red and white detail. Round white and red beads and white tube beads dangle below the medallions. She is wearing a dark blue top. There is a choker style necklace with blue tube beads and white and blue round beads and a short tassel at the front of the necklace. There is a longer beaded necklace in white with red and blue detail and a large white medallion pendant with a red, yellow and blue "X" and short red or blue lines in the space around the "X." The white rectangle at the bottom of the painting is decorated with a blue band, white triangles and red, pink and dark blue detail.

It is currently in a brown wood frame with a light brown linen-like inset.
