Description

The twisted strips of buckskin were rubbed with red pigment. The pendant comprises a spiral shell wrapped with buckskin which has also been rubbed red. The top edge of the buckskin is decorated with white beads. Short buckskin finges at the narrow end are decorated with a variety of elements: two pieces of dentalium shell, large plastic beads in medium blue and dark blue, red seed beads, metal beads and a blue-green glass bead. There is a strip of fur, rubbed with red pigment, a deer toe, and a tassel of dark brown human hair.
