The rectangular basket of folded birch bark has seams on the corners that are stitched with a zigzag stitch, and the rim is wrapped. The excess bark was trimmed away rather than stitched as a flap. Each exterior surface, including the bottom, is decorated with a floral design, in a brown silhouette.
