Description

The bulbous coiled basket (2007.2673.a) has six points created by separating the coil at the widest point on the shoulder. The flat lid (2007.2673.b) has a lip to sit into the basket. There is a rawhide loop for a handle. There is a light brown field on both elements. The shoulder of the basket is decorated with six green open crosses. The bottom half of the basket appears undecorated, though there is some variation in fiber color. The lid is decorated with three bands of medium brown animal (possibly reptile) skin.
