The round basket has a small cedar bark square in the center of the bottom. The remainder of the bottom is bear grass. The cedar bark rim is slightly inset, so there may have once been a lid. It has a light natural field color with thin red and purple bands at the bottom. There are three repeats of a dark purple rectangle with oblique lines crossing it, possibly a boat with oars. Each repeat is separated with a light purple inverted "A."
