Description

The large rectangular basket has flared sides and a cedar field. It is decorated with vertical stripes of red and light natural checkerboard.

The basket would have been filled with water with hot stones dropped into it. The loaded basket would be placed in a hole in the ground and covered wtih mats or blankets until cooking was complete.
