Description

The pants have a very low crotch and short legs. The pants have an unbleached cotton field color and vertical purple stripes. The legs are embroidered with a row of brightly colored birds with green heads, pink and dark blue bodies and long tail feathers in green, pink, yellow and dark blue. There are rows of vertical zigzag designs above and below the birds in brown, light purple, orange, and dark blue. There are rows of plant-like designs at the top and bottom of the embroidered panel in dark blue, orange, green and bright pink.

The waistband is unfinished.

The trousers from each village around Lake Atitlan have a distinctive decorative pattern.
