The round basket (2007.2354.a) has a lid (2007.2354.b). The bottom of the basket has a spoke-like collection of ash splints that continue on the sides as warp fibers. There is one ash splint wrapped at the top, where the lid covers, and four rows of narrow ash splints at the bottom. The majority of the sides of the basket are woven from braided sweet grass. The lid has a bundle of sweet grass fibers on the edge, and the center is narrow splits of ash. The space in between is occupied with woven strands of braided sweet grass. There is a small loop handle in the center.
