The shallow round bowl is constructed of wide strips of brich bark laid over each other, the inside and outside layers of the bark alternate to form white triangles and dark diamonds. There is a flat sheet of bark for the bottom that is whipstitched in place. The rim and bottom edge of the bowl are whipstitched to a band of bark. A string on the base secures each whipstitch.
