The papercut depicts a Beijing Opera character identified as Dian Wei, with a dark blue face, and black, red and white details around the eyes and mouth. There is a red and black swirl on the forehead, and grey, red and black detail on the cheeks. There are red fin-like projections near the eyes and red beard. The headdress has a yellow band with green edges, dark pink, light pink and light blue detail. There is a pink circle with green detail at the top center. The dark blue portion of the headdress has light pink ribbons and dark pink edges. The four dark blue hair sticks have red tassels. There are two stylized pheasant feathers in yellow with green and black detail. The ribbon trailers have a blue-green field with red and dark pink flowers. There are rows of gray ovals with orange or dark pink flowers on either side of the beard.
