The parasol has a reed staff, a carved wooden handle, and wooden supports. The handle is a light natural color but the supports are painted red-brown. The paper shade is now a dark yellow. There is a tree branch on one side with green leaves and a peacock sitting on the branch. He is green and blue with orange, black, and yellow accents. There is a black band around the edge. There is a square of black cloth tied over the top of the finial.
