Description

Square fragment of brocaded silk (identified as from Isphan). There are diagonal stripes with a tan ground shot with a metallic thread. There are brown stripes with tan zigzag between larger stripes. There are leaf and flower forms in larger stripes with brown outline. Colors include pink, blue and soft yellow. Consists of a compound weave with brocading threads woven in background.
