The seated female figure (2007.4227.a) is holding a baby figure (2007.4227.b). The mother is seated, legs in front of her and arms held in front of her chest. She is wearing a white dress and red apron. A squash blossom type necklace is painted on her shirt and a band of diamond and chevrons are painted on each arm. Her black hair is in a bun at the back. Her face is tilted up and her mouth is slightly open.

The baby is wearing a red outfit. It's hands and face are white and the hair and details are black.
