Description

The mask-like depiction of a person, possibly an Iyoba (Queen Mother) is wearing a headdress and a ruff. The headdress has a flat vertical portion with skulls at the edge and scallops between. There is a loop at the top. The remainder of the headdress may actually indicate hair, since it has an allover texture of grid lines and small raised knobs.

She as vertical scars above the eyebrows. The ruff-like neck decoration is lace-like with a band of "X's" above a band of "O's."
