Patchwork quilt full of vari-colored/patterned squares. Calico with chintz border of floral design in browns and reds. Bound on the edges with a blue background, picotage design. Verso: initials "MAC" or "MAG" cross-stitched. The printed fabrics in this quilt constitute a history of 19th century textiles including a roller-printed chintz border, an 1830s seaweed calico, bleeding stripes, red and blue chintz designs, lapis, ginghams, and blue resist patterns. Homespun backing.
