The cowhide strips have metal rattles. The primary piece (2007.3544.a) consists of a vertical strip of hide, decorated with two rows of cowrie shells with a cowhide band at the top. The cowhide rectangle at the bottom has rounded corners and notched edges and two thin hide strips. One secures a semi-circular metal rattle. The other probably secured the now loose rattle (2007.3544.b). There is fur on the inside. The metal rattles both have metal balls inside to make noise.
