The long stick is formed into a long narrow oval with wooden slats forming a solid back. The top and bottom are left open. A horseshoe shape of wooden slats juts out from the back to form a hood, when covered with cloth. The back is wrapped in orange cloth stitched along the armature, and the front flaps have small loops with a long orange tie laced through. The same orange fabric covers the top of the horseshoe and lines the inside. The edge of the fabric is accented with plaid fabric in dark blue, green, and pink. The lining of the flaps is a contrasting fabric, in blue, green, and white.
